writing since 1982
I've been in the game since 1980. I started writing actively in 1982 on the streets of Mt. Vernon & on the 2 and 5 lines in the Bronx Are you bomber/piecer? Both, but I'm a piecer mostly! I bombed back in the day from 1982-1987 but I mostly did pieces starting in 82 and stopping in 88. I went into a 10 year retirement and came back out in 1998 doing my first comeback piece with Dazm.

What makes JHF so special from all the crews out there?
I feel that the JHF family is a very well orgianized crew. JHF is the second largest crew coming out of Mt. Vernon. JHF is tight-knit and family oriented. To reinforce the family feeling we try to do things like sending Christmas cards to the members. We also have an annual BBQ. We don't discriminate. I feel we have a nice mixture of older writers (from the 80's era, such as myself, Snatch, Tabe, Vet,etc.)and the now school of writers coming up.(Nero, Baal and a few others)

Advice for New Jacks
Alot of new jacks have to learn to crawl before they can walk, not the other way around. You cannot advance very quickly, no way! You have to learn the techniques with backgrounds. The new jacks of today have shouldn't be too proud to ask questions of the old timers like myself and others before them. They must do their "homework" if they wanna come into the game. Visiting places like The "SCRAPYARD" (in NYC- on Canal and West Broadway) where they have videos and zines that give some of the knowledge, and allow you to watch and learn techniques of what the experienced writers do;the way they spray, hand styles and so on.

1984 panel piece
My first piece was in 1982 with Leroy444 and my first live train was in '84. I did that with Michelob and Wane from COD in the Baychester layup on the 5. I pulled off three trains in '84 on the 5. |
