JHF was initially known as The Fantasic Boyz,but after finding out about the existence of another crew with the TFB initials from the Fordham section of the Bronx, Rem decided to change the name. After much consideration Just Having Fun was settled upon. JHF's original members were: REM311, SPAZ210(orig.vice), STIME711, DEROC, SMACK, LADY BETH(aka HERA), JAZZ3, VET(TMC), CEEJAY and RAPHAEL114(aka SHAMS)

Take`Em to WAR
In the 80's graf culture was highlycompetitive. Cross out wars had reached an all time high. JHF became involved with a prolonged battle with rival writers from the MVA(Mt.Veron Artists) crew.The strife would eventually come to an end on its own sometime around 88 but not before it cost both JHF and MVA a great deal of work in the loss of pieces. Coincidentally, it was around this time that Rem decided to hang up the cans.

Transition and Rebirth
Rem stepped away from active painting in 1988. In order to ensure the continued presence of JHF on the scene, Rem handed over the reins of the Presidency over to charter member Shams. Shams would hold down the crew magnificently, recruiting some of N.Y.C.'s finest writers of the late 80's and early 90's. They include: JEW(BT), GANO(VGL), RASH, RYNO, NEAR, OPEN EYE, FURY and STEM(YNN).

While in retirement, Rem always kept an eye on the happenings within graf. Watching writers come and go, Rem became concerned with what he felt was a lacking on the part of some today's newest crop. He feels that some don't do their "homework" related to having a better understanding and respect of the history of a culture many are quick to claim.

Rem came back out of retirement to begin painting actively again. Painting whenever and wherever time and space will allow. Heresumed his position as head of JHF with the goal of making JHF the tightest, most organized and well rounded crews to come from N.Y. To this end, he's recruited some new blood like NERO, BAAL and NEO(aka DRUG)and he's hooked up with some vets like SNATCH(current Vice) and TABE(TFT). JHF has even expanded to other states like New Jersey, Florida, Texas and Illinois.

JHF prides itself as being the family oriented crew, and with family you can't help but to JUST HAVE FUN doing what you doin!
